Technician vacancy at Revolution Porsche
We are currently looking to recruit an additional Technician to join the Revolution Porsche team at our workshop in West Yorkshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading independent Porsche specialists and work on some great cars, from the latest generation of Porsches to classic air-cooled 911s.
The Job
The key responsibilities will be to undertake maintenance, fault finding and repair work on our customers’ cars.
The work will be varied, as we have a comprehensive offer for Porsche owners that includes standard servicing, replacement of wear and tear items (brakes, clutches etc), IMS bearing replacements, breakdown repairs, performance upgrades and even full mechanical refurbishments of older cars.
You’ll may also be involved in dealing directly with customers, both on the telephone and in person. We’re always happy to offer advice to Porsche owners and our willingness to deal with technical queries over the phone is a key part of our commitment to customer service.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate for our new Technician role should have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrable experience as a technician working with prestige and/or performance cars.
- Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills ability to carry out four-wheel alignments, ideally using the latest Hunter, Beissbarth or John Bean equipment
- The ability to work independently
- Strong commitment to delivering the best customer service
- A passion for prestige cars and genuine interest in automotive technology
- Full UK licence
- A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
Desirable:
- Experience of both water-cooled and air-cooled Porsche engines
- Comfortable dealing with technical enquiries over the phone and speaking to owners face-to-face
- Ability to price up jobs
All the above is desirable but not necessarily essential, we are looking for the right person to fit into the team and the correct training will be given if required.
